Castaldo Mold Release Sprays

CASTALDO Rubber Mold Release Spray (red-colored packaging) is made from pure silicone oil and is supplied in aerosol spray cans. It is used to remove wax residues from rubber or metal molds. CASTALDO Rubber Mold Release Spray is colorless, odorless, contains no toxic substances, is oil-free, durable, and safe to use. This product contains no CFCs (chlorofluorocarbon gases) or VOCs (volatile organic compounds) and is formulated so that it does not damage molds made of natural rubber such as CASTALDO “White Label,” “Gold Label,” and “No Shrink Pink” jewelry mold rubbers during use. Unlike other mold release sprays, this product is absolutely non-explosive and non-flammable.

When preparing molds with Castaldo VLT Silicone Mold Rubber, it may be necessary to coat the model with a layer of release spray before vulcanization so that the model can be easily removed from the mold after vulcanization. Castaldo Resin Release Spray (blue-colored packaging) is specifically formulated for this purpose. Do NOT use silicone spray together with this product. Household sprays such as PAM, typically made from olive oil or canola oil, or Teflon sprays, may also work. Wax models generally do not require a release agent.
